Even though embarking on their first-ever European campaign, Crystal Palace are learning very quickly. Without key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a comfortable win that virtually guarantees them a spot in the Conference League qualifying rounds.

A further victory in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure straight passage to the knockout stages, especially after a previous setback against Strasbourg.

This match offered a platform for some of Palace's fringe talent to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a well-taken goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, scoring for the second consecutive match.

The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.

A solitary worry for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise positive night for the traveling side.
